I have had another trip to the vets today.

I knew someting was afoot, I literally made my owners drag me out of the house into the car.
When we got there another nice lady vet gave me the once over and said I looked healthy and well, then to my surprise a second later I felt a sharp jab in my neck…. my owners told me, I had my first Vaccination jab…. and all I got was a very small piece of biscuit as a reward.
I understand I’ve got to go back in two weeks time for the same treatment (mental note to self : keep teeth sharp for defence purposes ;-) .

The Vet then weighed me:
I now weigh 13.5Kg (an increase of nearly 4kgs in 3 weeks)

The Practice Nurse then filled in lots of paperwork and told me I was going to be ‘chipped’… now this was a BIG needle, but I only did a small OUCH as I don’t wont them thinking I’m a wuss. The nurse scanned me and up came my unique ID # on his scanner. I understand that this chip is so that If I ever get cheesed of at my current home (what with all these injections and all) and I run off, anyone that finds me can take me to a vet etc. and they will know who owns me ……doesn’t sound like a very good idea to me, but my owners do so I sometimes do what they say ;-)

The local vets I visit is Astonlee in Newport Pagnell, Bucks their website is here for anyone thats interested in getting jabbed by needles…. they are very good at this.
